There are so many cut out dress up pretty paper dolls floating around the internet that I keep meaning to make, but none has captured my heart like this Dress Up Cliff Richard which Avedon kindly shared on Flickr.
His clothes don’t quite fit, and I had to make him a giant cardboard tail (just like in real life) so he could stand up, but it’s lovely Cliff and he’s enjoying his lime green trousers.
Can’t find any paper dolls from Twinkle Magazine online. Twinkle was a girl’s mag with a weekly cut out doll that was just so exciting that I remember cutting her out sitting on the front door mat because I couldn’t wait to get any further inside the house. These Betsy McCall paper dolls have a similar Twinkle cuteness.
