Feminine Lace Socks

Posted in Knitting

Just cast off Stephanie van der Linden’s Feminine Lace socks from Around the World in Knitted Socks: 26 Inspired Designs.

According to the book, the design was inspired by intricate Spanish religious buildings, like the beautiful Sagrada Familia. The complex lace pattern in these socks required lots of concentration, but unlike the Sagrada Famila didn’t take 140+ years to complete.

My next project is from the same book, I’ve just cast on Scent of Lavender (not sure I want to think about smells in the context of socks) and have three more patterns from the book queued. Wish all her books could be reprinted in English.
