Yesterday I walked down the street behind a woman wearing these lovely purple boots. Maybe it was a dream, they’re so gorgeous. Have docs got more comfortable in the last decade ? Back in the 90s when I wore docs every day, I used to get through a packet of elastoplast every week for the blisters and pour blood out of them at the end of the day. Am increasingly intolerant of suffering for fashion, but oh these are so beautiful.
Mmmmmm, those boots are delicious. And also lined with flannel, so they should be nice and cosy. 🙂
My recent Doc Martens have been infinitely more comfortable than the ones I wore in the 1990s. A couple of heel blisters maybe, but definitely no rivers of blood!
All my shoes have suddenly become very worn out and uncomfortable, tis most anoying!
Hi, found your blog through Ravelry. Had to comment as I bought these boots a couple of weeks ago and wore them for the first time yesterday and they are really comfortable. One boot rubbed a bit but not enough to cause a blister and that’ll probably stop once they’re broken in a bit.
They’re lovely, pretty inside and out!
That’s good to know. I might have to go and try them on…
Oooh, I love them also. Yes, I wore DMs nonstop through the 90s, and there was always a breaking in month. I think I broke my feet in more than my dms. I did cry when I threw away my first pair though, when they finally got beyond repair.
