Caroline Yates

Have you ever seen anything so pretty? This exhibition flyer has been hanging around on my pinboard for nearly two years and I still wish I’d gone to see the show.

Caroline Yates is an artist and textile designer who paints soft, compelling moving crowds in oil.

I never really know what the etiquette is for going to little galleries. It’s fine to go to the Tate and know you’re not expected to afford to buy a Turner, but is going to a little gallery just to gawp at beautiful things like this acceptable when you can’t back up your visit with any cash? Is it as frowned upon as fondling the merchandise in designer stores?

Caroline’s art is delicious, I might just frame the flyer.
